BRAG (Black Retail Action Group) is a professional organization that provides resources and development to empower African Americans and all people of color to reach their highest professional potential in retail and related industries. I am a HUGE fan of BRAG, and as a former BRAG intern, I was offered my first job as an assistant buyer back in 2006. Come out and meet authors and photographers Deborah Willis and Emily Bernard as BRAG celebrates Black History Month! Willis and Bernard are the authors of Michelle Obama: The First Lady in Photographs.

About the authors:

Deborah Willis, a MacArthur, Guggenheim, and Fletcher Fellow, is the author of Reflections in Black, Posing Beauty, Michelle Obama: The First Lady in Photographs, and the New York Times bestseller Obama: The Historic Campaign in Photographs. She is chair of the photography department and a University Professor at New York University.

Emily Bernard is the author of Remember Me to Harlem: The Letters of Langston Hughes and Carl Van Vechten, a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. She teaches at the University of Vermont in Burlington.
