“A job candidate has to have done something with strong results. It doesn’t have to be in the beauty business, but of course, I love when it is. It is also good to have people with other experiences. However, they do have to show a love of culture, of the arts, of travel, of fashion. A candidate has to have an innate sense of things that are beautiful in the world. I also look for people who are demanding of themselves and are good listeners. But most of all, I look for people who are happy. When somebody comes into an interview and they are miserable, who needs that? It is important to bring a positive energy to the business.”
