What it Takes to Get Hired According to LOreal's President

“A job candidate has to have done something with strong results. It doesn’t have to be in the beauty business, but of course, I love when it is. It is also good to have people with other experiences. However, they do have to show a love of culture, of the arts, of travel, of fashion. A candidate has to have an innate sense of things that are beautiful in the world. I also look for people who are demanding of themselves and are good listeners. But most of all, I look for people who are happy. When somebody comes into an interview and they are miserable, who needs that? It is important to bring a positive energy to the business.”

-Carol Hamilton, President of LOreal’s Luxury Products Division

  1. Being on a fashion career is great, but I'm not really fond of being a stylist. I would hire a wardrobe organization Singapore, but I would not want to be like one. I'm a career woman and I wanted to be on a different industry.
